Partial Denture

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth still remain, and are in good condition. A custom removable appliance is made to fit in-between all remaining teeth, creating a full beautiful smile, while adding extra support to your natural teeth at the same time.

Partial dentures can be made from several different materials, creating flexible and non-flexible options. The style that will best suit you depends on numerous factors, such as the position, stability, and number of teeth remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What is a Partial Denture?
A. Partial Denture can replace one or more missing teeth in the mouth.

Q. What are the different kinds of partial dentures?
A. Partial denture can be Risen acrylic partial, metal frame with acrylic teeth and flexible partial denture.

Q. I have one or more of my teeth missing can I add it to my partial denture?
A. In most cases yes we can add them to your partial denture.

Q. Why is it important to have Partial Denture?
A. If you are missing even one tooth, it’s very important to have partial denture to keep and maintain the missing space it will also protect the other teeth from shifting. If it is not protected the roots start to be exposed and sadly it will damage the other teeth and possibly loose them.

Removable Partial Dentures restore your natural appearance and greatly improve your ability to chew and speak clearly, partial denture may help and maintain the position of your remaining teeth by providing them with additional support.

Q. My Partial Denture is moving and rocking in my mouth is this Normal?
A. This is NOT ok because if your partial is moving or rocking in your mouth this can cause really serious harm to the rest of your remaining natural teeth also it can cause damage to the gum and bones underneath the partial denture.

Q. Does having a Partial Denture hurt?
A. Not at all. Today with all the newer proper design, technology, techniques and the best material in the market that we use partial dentures are more comfortable and natural feeling than ever.

Q. I want partial denture but I don’t want to have this metal clasps to show in my mouth what are the other options?
A. We have special material which has no visible clasps at all, they are much better in aesthetics, they are much stronger than regular acrylic partial, light weight, flexible and are also friendlier to oral cavity than regular acrylic.

Q. I lost many of my lower teeth for many years but I never had any partial done, what is going to happen?
A. If you are missing many of your lower teeth this will probably create bad eating habits. Food starts to digest in your mouth as you start chewing if you are missing your teeth for a long period of time this will cause your digestive system to work much harder, having partial denture can prevent all these problems from happening. Your tongue is also the most important part of the mouth and when you are missing your lower teeth for a long period of time without partial denture, your tongue will start to become abnormal, it becomes larger than normal which can cover any empty spaces where the teeth is missing in your lower jaw this will make it very difficult to adapt to the lower denture in future.
